
The 1st National Coordinators (NC) Meeting of 2025 was held virtually on 29 August, with participation of GTI National Coordinators from Member States, delegates from relevant line ministries, and UNDP China representatives.
Russia initiated the meeting by presenting the preparations and plans for the 25th Consultative Commission (CC) Meeting, tentatively scheduled for 4 December 2025 in Moscow, outlining its chairmanship priorities: Enabling Business Environment, Thriving Tourism Growth, and Resilient Creative Economy.
Additionally, members reviewed GTI’s progress and plans since the last CC Meeting in December 2024 and approved the 2024 Expenditure Report and 2025-2026 Budget Proposal. Discussions on the future GTI-UNDP partnership and legal transition were held, with agreement to further clarify the scope of work with UNDP China and continue consultations.
The meeting laid a solid foundation for the upcoming CC Meeting, with member states reaffirming their commitment to strengthening regional cooperation under the GTI framework.
